NC State Adverse Weather Update

Due to the threat of severe weather, NC State will operate under Condition 1 (Reduced Operations) today, March 16, from 12 p.m. until 11:59 p.m.

During Condition 1 (Reduced Operations), the campus community is encouraged to use discretion when deciding whether to attend class or remain at work. While many may be able to attend classes or report to work without concerns, some may decide not to based on their individual circumstances. Before traveling, you are encouraged to check warnings for your area and make the decision that is best for your personal safety.

Please monitor weather updates from the National Weather Service and local news outlets throughout the day for the most up-to-date information on how today’s severe weather may affect you. For more information about how to remain safe in severe weather, please click here

If you are an employee who is unsure whether you are considered mandatory or nonmandatory, please check with University Human Resources.
