NC State Adverse Weather Update
NC State – Safety Notice: Friday, Jan. 10, 2025 10:40 a.m.
In anticipation of winter weather impacts, NC State is making the following operational adjustments:
- NC State will operate under Condition 1 (Reduced Operations) from 2-5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10.
- The university will move operations to Condition 2 (Suspended Operations) at 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10 and will remain in Condition 2 until 10 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12.
- All classes scheduled between 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10 and 10 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12 are canceled.
- The Wolfline will remain operational so long as weather conditions permit. Updates to the schedule or operating status may be found here.
- Additional updates will be shared through WolfAlert, on the university’s homepage and social media channels, should it become necessary.
The university remains open, but some operations may be reduced. You are encouraged to check the status of scheduled events before coming to campus. During adverse weather and other emergency event conditions, employees and students should take reasonable precautions for personal safety. - Please take precautions and read the warnings issued for your area regarding road conditions before traveling.
- Continue to monitor weather updates from the National Weather Service and local news outlets today and tomorrow for the most up-to-date information on the storm.
The university provides a variety of resources for students who need emergency housing, food or other items.
Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025: NC State is closely monitoring the winter weather storm expected to impact central North Carolina beginning Friday afternoon through Saturday morning. NC State is currently operating under normal conditions. We expect to provide an update on operating conditions by 10 a.m on Friday, Jan. 10, 2025.
